BSE Conducts an Investor Survey to Explore Investor's Opinions
Bahrain Stock Exchange (BSE) announced the launch of its first investor survey which is available on BSE's website till the end of March 2010, the survey serves primarily as a means to understand the motivations, trading patterns and awareness levels of existing and potential investors on BSE.
BSE Director said "A deep understanding of our investors is crucial to attracting foreign and local participation and investment into our markets. This survey therefore supports the greater role of BSE in developing the capital markets of the country, and building a fair, competitive and sustainable ecosystem. The results of the survey will provide BSE with insights as it continues to develop programs and policies to enlarge its shareholder base and increase trading activity on its markets".
The survey, which will be conducted by BSE's in-house team, covers investors' background and profile, their trading patterns and use of investment products, and the criteria and sources of information which they rely on in making investment decisions.
